Aliaa Bhatt X Masaba Gupta for Harper’s Bazaar Bride issue

Ace fashion designer, Masaba Gupta and Bollywood fashionista, Aliaa Bhatt have taken their friendship to a whole new level and you cannot help but fall in love with their style quotient. They have recently done a photoshoot together for Harper’s Bazaar wedding issue, Bazaar Bride (November) which is lensed by Ayesha Amin Nigam. Aliaa dons an outfit by Alice and Olivia and Masaba stuns in a gown by Shantanu and Nikhil. This issue of the magazine is titled as “Girls Uninterrupted” and the shoot has been titled as “Couture goes green” which completely justifies the theme.

The photoshoot takes place in a wild mystical setting where the two divas are seen sitting in front of a floral backdrop. Alia Bhatt opts for contemporary Indian look whereas Masaba is sizzling in a camouflage print strapless gown. It seems like the high neckline is back in fashion as Aliaa wears it effortlessly for the cover. She has teamed the gown with a cap sleeve jacket which embroidered on a base green fabric. The floral obsession is clearly changing the fashion game this season, as there seem to be no boundaries for experimentations with this print. A centre-parted sleek hairdo adds an element of grace and sophistication. The exquisite maang tika gives it a classy Indian touch.

Masaba Gupta, on the other hand, has kept it really graceful. The designer herself is seen in this gorgeous gown by the designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil. The timeless jewellery is complementing the outfit balancing it with the bold attitude. Thought the outfit is not in a contrast to the background, it becomes difficult to differentiate between the outfit and the backdrop. The look was styled by Shaurya Athley and edited by Nupur Mehta.

It is hard to determine the meaning of the title ‘Couture goes green’ for the photo shoot but it mainly symbolizes the fact that it took place with a forest theme.
